I completed bachelor's and associate's degrees and Career Studies Certificates through distance from accredited colleges and universities that are based in America. I was living in Asia (Korea [2006-2009], Taiwan [2009-2011], and Japan [2011-present]) at the time. Just like brick-and-mortar students, I had to take exams under the supervision of a teacher or test center staff member, who had to go through a verification and approval process. Here is a list of where these were taken:
- Pearson VUE in Taipei, Taiwan: Several Excelsior College Examinations (ECEs) toward my bachelor's degree
- Great Master IT Training Center in Kaohsiung, Taiwan: UExcel Psychology and UExcel Political Science toward my bachelor's degree
- National Sun Yat-Sen University in Kaohsiung, Taiwan: Northern Virginia Community College ITE 221 PC Hardware & O/S Architecture Exams towards my bachelor's degree
- The U.S. Military Yongsan Garrison in Seoul, South Korea: Several CLEP tests towards my associate's and bachelor's degrees
- Yonsei University in Seoul, South Korea: Several exams (towards my associate's and bachelor's degrees)
- Korea National Open University in Seoul, South Korea: They proctored my Precalculus with Trigonometry and my History of Virginia exams towards my associate's and bachelor's degrees.
- The Center for Advanced Studies in Tokyo, Japan: They proctored DSST Introduction to Business, DSST Personal Finance, and MTH 271 (Applied Calculus I)'s exams for me.
- Pasokon Kyōshitsu Wakaru to Dekiru in Yokkaichi, Mie Prefecture, Japan: They proctored all my exams for ITP 120, ITE 115, and ITN 100 (Northern Virginia Community College).
